Synopsis

Kate (Meg Ryan) is a former American waiting to get Canadian citizenship and lives in Toronto with her boyfriend Charlie (Timothy Hutton). When Charlie, for work, goes to Paris for a few days, Kate remains in Canada, because it can not move from the country until he has obtained the citizenship. From Paris to receive a phone call from a drunk Charlie says that they love with a beautiful French, Juliette (Susan Anbeh) and that most would not return home. Desperate and determined to win back her boyfriend, Kate takes a plane, suffocating her fear of flying, and went to Paris.

The aircraft meets Luc (Kevin Kline), a professional thief who is trying to carry on its country of origin, a series that will help to have the money necessary to cultivate a vineyard of his own. Luc, called by Luke Kate hides the necklace in the bag and it offers a step up at the boyfriend. Kate takes a taxi instead and Luc pursues the order to retrieve the necklace still hidden in his bag. To the hotel, seeing Charlie kiss the beautiful Juliette, Kate faints and is robbed of her purse from a thief’s friend Luc. Pretending to want to help, Luc brings Kate to the house of the thief to retrieve the bag.

The thief has already sold everything except the necklace, which was well hidden in a small plant. Luc takes the plant and Kate, realizing that it is a thief and that so far has only used the leaves to go the American embassy and groped to return to Toronto. Since most American citizen and not yet in Canada, the two respective embassies refuse to help, and Kate has no place to go to sleep. Meanwhile Luc realizes that the plant is no longer the series, which probably remained in the bag for Kate. Luc tries and found Kate, who is about to take a train to Cannes, where Charlie’s parents meet Juliette.

Meanwhile, a French policeman (Reno Jane) and knows the series is trying Luc throughout France, but lost shortly before he takes the train with Kate. At Cannes, Kate, helped by Luc, Charlie manages to meet and pay fargliela view it seems happy in love with another woman. Kate also tells Luc to know the series and he was raised seeing intact. So Luc tells his story and brings it home to his family, which owns a vineyard in Provence. Kate, who has managed to make Charlie jealous, not to understand love him more and leaves. The girl is approached, however, the French policeman who is trying Luc, telling him that if the series will return within a day does not go to prison. So Kate decides to go herself to sell the necklace to the jewelry, where there is a French policeman who takes it into custody. Kate Luc gives all his money by pretending they are the ones that gave the jewelry to the collection and understanding of love remains in France to live with him in Provence.
