Synopsis

ghost1990 The film is set in New York. The protagonist is the agent bank Sam Wheat (Patrick Swayze), who leads a life happy with the girlfriend Molly Jensen (Demi Moore), an artist from a promising but fragile.

As you are heading on the way home after an evening at the theater, the ladruncolo Willie Lopez (Rick Aviles) kills Sam Wheat. The latter is found petrified under the appearance of a ghost, although surprised of his condition and activity of communicating with the living, Sam decides also to protect Molly from the vengeance of those who killed him. Fortunately able to communicate with Oda Mae Brown (Whoopi Goldberg), a sensitive initially unaware of his own powers.

With bitter surprise discovers that Carl Bruner (Tony Goldwyn), his colleague and his best friend, ordered Willie rubargli of the portfolios to find a password that would permit money laundering on behalf of some drug traffickers, but the robbery ended in tragedy. Following Sam will learn to move objects with the help of an unnamed ghost (Vincent Schiavelli) that houses in the metropolitan New York.

Sam and Oda Mae will be able to escape the vengeance of Willie and Carl, who terrorized people believed to be the weakest of them – that Sam Wheat – will be killed “by mistake” (the first in a car accident, the second from a window in pieces) , and their ghosts will be conducted immediately after all’Inferno by spirits that dominate. Immediately after the mission to save Molly, Sam gives a last farewell to Oda Mae and her companion in life again saying “I love you” speech that he never used now considered unnecessary and a “same” as a response to Molly, expression which usually only used him, and manages to reach Paradise.
