Synopsis

kramer_vs_kramer In this movie Dustin Hoffman, who plays the role of Ted Kramer, appears first as a very bright, piercing the world of advertising. But his hard work is done in a first time at the expense of his family, living a life too “speed”, then it is to listen and heard no distress signal issued by his wife Joanna Kramer.

Performed by Meryl Streep, this is a young and emotionally unstable woman who has lost confidence in her and decides to abandon everything, and even be thinking too unworthy to look after his children Billy (Justin Henry). Then aged 7 years, Billy will remain for 18 months, which term refers to almost all of the film, in the custody of his father. After a difficult start, then comes a very emotional complicity between the two “men”, the concept of father took all his greatness, and it is this sensitivity that the film will be able to weave. However, this new lifestyle is freshly installed quickly threatened. Joanna Kramer, the mother, after living in California, where she was able to reflect on itself, returned to New York and soon began legal proceedings to regain custody of her child she had abandoned. Then follows a battle very active.
