Synopsis

lion_kingIn the African savannah, all animals of the kingdom gathered to celebrate the birth of Prince Simba, son of the Lion King Mufasa and Queen Sarabi. All but Scar, Mufasa’s brother, for whom the birth of this heir destroys all hope of some day in power.

Collaboration with the hyenas, Scar devises a diabolical plan to eliminate his brother and young Simba. After killing Mufasa, Scar convinces Simba that he is responsible for the death of his father and forced into exile in the desert. A bout of strength, he is rescued by Timon the meerkats and the warthog Pumbaa, with whom he will rebuild and grow by feeding on larvae and following a new philosophy of life: “Hakuna matata”, in say enjoy life day by day, without asking any questions.

An adult, Simba by chance found his childhood friend Nala during a hunt on the other side of the desert. She learns that Scar, who became a tyrant, has ravaged the land of lions and famine that threatens its inhabitants, she tries to reason and encourages his return as a legitimate king. Always feeling guilty, Simba refuses to return at home. It is finally the mandrill Rafiki, the wise kingdom and especially the appearance of the ghost of Mufasa, that will make him change his opinion so that it reverses Scar and restores the kingdom of his father’s beauty and grandeur lost. After defeating Scar and learned the truth about the death of his father, Simba becomes king of the land of lions. The film ends with the birth of Kiara, daughter of Simba and Nala
