Arrival is the fourth album by Swedish pop group ABBA. With this album the group reached their commercial peak. The recordings began in August 1975 and lasted until September 1976. With the single release Dancing Queen ABBA was on 9 April 1977 the only time to land a No. 1 hit in the U.S. charts.

The instrumental title track in 1980 gecovert by Mike Oldfield on the album QE2 and as a single coupled out what Oldfield is also on the theme of the album covers – the band in a helicopter – took over.

The recordings for the album and for Dancing Queen started on 4 August 1975. The band had just finished a tour in Sweden behind. Benny Andersson had to do with the way the production of a new solo album for Anni-Frid Lyngstad, Agnetha Fältskog while also recorded a solo album with record label cupole. Both it and with the intensive work on Dancing Queen, the actual work was interrupted on the album and it was only in March 1976 again continued.

The recordings for the album began with Knowing Me, Knowing You “and” That’s Me After a break in April, in May, Money, Money, Money, and Happy Hawaii put on tape. In June, followed by When I Kissed the Teacher, in July Dum Dum Diddle and tigers and in August, My Love, My Life, Why Did It Have To Be Me? and the eponymous instrumental for the album Arrival. In September, only a few overdubs were added to some tracks before the album on 11 October was released in 1976.
