Super Trouper is the title of the seventh studio album by Swedish pop group ABBA. The recordings lasted from February to October 1980th The name Super Trouper is derived from the type description from a specific stage of the headlamp company Strong Entertainment Lighting, with which one looks at the artist out of the direction of the audience.

ABBA returned in February from their last tour of Japan by Japan to Sweden and the recordings devoted to her next album. Started with On and On and On, Andante, Andante Happy New Year and The Piper. Elaine was also recorded in February, that was not intended for the track list of the album, but was used as a B-side of the single “The Winner Takes It All.

From March to May some titles have been revised, so again only in June, the recordings for The Winner Takes It All and Our Last Summer continued. A further recording pause in July and August, before the sessions began in September. It is devoted to the songs Me and I Lay All Your Love on Me and Put On Your White Sombrero (which was originally planned for the album, but was replaced shortly before its publication by the Super Trouper and only in 1994 on the box set Thank You For The Music was published).

In October, the recordings were completed with the eponymous song Super Trouper. On the track list was also The Way Old Friends Thurs set, a live song that was recorded during their tour. For the LP, he was heavily reworked.
