New Jersey is the fourth studio album from the hard rock band Bon Jovi, released in 1988.

The album has the name of the homeland of the members of the group, which originally was called the “Sons of Beaches” and was planned as a double album. The album was again produced by Bruce Fairbarn. The album was recorded soon after the tour of Slippery When Wet, as the band wanted to prove that it was only a temporary success. The result is a favorite of fans of the albums, with hits like “Bad Medicine”, “Lay Your Hands On Me” and “I’ll Be There For You”, which remain in the repertoire today.

However, the album took the band’s extensive tour earlier right to a further. The constant life on the road almost destroyed the strong relationship between Jon Bon Jovi and Richie winter season. In early 1990, with the end of the tour, the band is separating and gives a good break before joining the studio and back in 1992 to record another album of great success “Keep the Faith.”
