A Kind of Magic is an album by Queen, released on June 2, 1986. The recordings of the album were started in 1985. It is produced by Queen, Mack and David Richards. After successful performance at the Live Aid festival in 1985, Queen was new inspiration for a new album to work (it was there that the group would uitelkaar). It resulted in the song ‘One Vision’ as a single in 1985 came from. There was Queen asked if they were willing to write music for the film Highlander, the band agreed. On the album it two projects.
For the first time Queen had to shoot in the studio for the video of One Vision, was also a clip of the numbers A Kind Of Magic, Who Wants To Live Forever, Friends Will Be Friends and Princes Of The Universe. The subsequent tour is called the Magic Tour, and the biggest European tour ever. There were two legendary performances in London’s Wembley Stadium provided. Also they did 3x Netherlands. On July 27, 1986 Queen became the first West-European band in an Eastern Bloc country, in Budapest, Hungary. After 2 month tour, joined the Queen Magic Tour in the Knebworth Park, they played for 120,000 fans. This proved to be the last concert of the Queen in the original composition.
