Innuendo was the last album of Queen’s Freddie Mercury living. It comes out on 4 February 1991, just months before the disappearance of the latter. Innuendo will be marked by a dark atmosphere, tinged with sadness and melancholy.

The song Innuendo, which gives the general tone of the album, not unlike the beginnings of the group. Indeed, the first Queen albums are characterized by the same kind of lyrical flights from Mercury, the borders of the opera and hard rock. Other major songs are I’m Going Slightly Mad, These Are The Days Of Our Lives, and the famous The Show Must Go On, a sort of poignant testament to Freddie Mercury. Freddie recalls with Delilah (declaration of love for her cat!) It holds through his sense of humor.

The vinyl edition contains shortened versions of several songs. The cover illustrations are of the French caricaturist Grandville (1803-1847).
