Abbey Road is the twelfth studio album by British rock band The Beatles, considered by many his masterpiece, published in 1969. The recordings at Abbey Road began in April 1969, making this the last album recorded by the band since Let It Be, released in 1970, had been previously recorded. It was released on September 26, 1969 in the United Kingdom, and 1 October of that year in the United States.

The album was produced and orchestrated by George Martin, Geoff Emerick as a recording engineer and Tony Banks as a tape operator. He also participated as an assistant recording, Alan Parsons.

The album is characterized by the presence of a B-side medley, a long piece of 16 minutes, consisting of eight songs linked one after another in succession. The album also noted to contain two of the best known songs of guitarist George Harrison, “Something” and “Here Comes the Sun”, the latter popularizing the synthesizer (Moog) in the rock. The cover of the album became one of the most famous in the history of music, which represented the Beatles crossing a crosswalk at the intersection of Grove End Road and Abbey Road street, compared to studies where all the songs recorded since 1962.

He is considered one of the best produced albums by The Beatles, though the band was barely functioning as a united group at that time. In 2003, ranked No. 14 on the list by Rolling Stone magazine of the 500 greatest albums of all time.
