Help! the fifth album by the Beatles and the soundtrack to the eponymous film, which in the German under the title of Hi-Hi Help! came to the cinemas. It was published on 6 August 1965.

The album was released on the same Beatles film. The title of Help! had a serious importance in showing the film like it. John Lennon wrote Help! in a time when he himself no longer knew where he was the head. Drug use increased, the success spiraling to new heights and friend and foe were scarcely distinguishable. Especially Lennon observed a significant increase in weight, coupled with mild depression, he called his “Fat Elvis” phase. Thus, the song can really be understood as a cry for help.

On admission to You’ve Got to Hide Your Love Away was the first time – apart from Andy White at the opening of Love Me Do – a foreign musicians invited to the production, the song plays for a flute solo.
