Revolver is the seventh album by British band The Beatles. This album is often considered a major album of their career and one of the most influential of all time by critics, among others listed in third place in the list of 500 Greatest Albums of All Time Rolling Stone . Recorded by the Beatles in just three months, the album was released August 5, 1966 in Britain and three days later the United States, with a slightly different track list.

In the continuity of Rubber Soul (1965), Revolver marks a crucial turning point in the style of The Beatles. Abandoning their image of “good boys”, the Beatles with this album marked the beginning of the psychedelic era. Their artistic creativity explodes then and will be confirmed with the next album, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band in 1967.
