12 x 5 is the second album by the Rolling Stones released the United States. Published in 33 rounds in October 1964, he appeared before the second UK album The Rolling Stones No. 2. Some tracks are present on both discs. The title indicates that it contains 12 songs played by 5 musicians. It incorporates the idea of an EP of the same Stones published in UK in August and called Five by Five.

This album contains mostly covers and five original songs Stones. Three are signed Jagger / Richards, and two songs are credited “Nankai Phelge”, a pseudonym used by the Stones between 1963 and 1965 to describe a writing done by all group members.

The photo on the cover is done by David Bailey. It will be used by Decca for No 2. A similar album was released in France under the title Around and Around and Germany under the title Beat Beat Beat.
