Aftermath is the British rockgruppen The Rolling Stones seventh album, issued in a British version April 15, 1966 and a U.S. version in June of that year. The biggest difference was on the discs, except that the covers were different, to “Paint it Black” were not on the British version. There was often not in singles on an album at this time. The British version, however, was ten o’clock minutes longer than the U.S., and the U.S. lacked “Mother’s Little Helper” which in turn has already been issued as singles there.

Aftermath was the first album where the songs were written solely by Keith Richards and Mick Jagger. The songs themselves were quite different from each other and had been influenced by psychedelic music. The biggest hits on this album can be said to be “Mother’s Little Helper”, in the British version of “Under My Thumb” and on the U.S. version hitsingeln “Paint it Black”.
