Maladroit is the fourth album by Weezer. Launched in May 2002, a year after their previous album, and was the first Weezer album to break with “tradition” of 10 songs per album. Maladroit is heavy metal riffs, something the band had not shown their previous releases. It was also the first to include the lyrics of their songs in the catalog. And also the first work with the band as bassist Scott Shriner.

In October 2005, the album reached the 590,718 copies sold in the United States, having reached the number 3 on the Billboard 200 and has been transformed into a gold disc.
