Weezer, better known as The Blue Album, is the first album of the band Weezer, initially released on May 10, 1994. The album contains some of the major success of Weezer to “Undone – The Sweater Song” and “Buddy Holly”. The album was produced by former member of the Cars, Ric Ocasek and recorded at Electric Lady Studios in New York. In October 2005, the album has sold 3004160 copies in the United States. It is now triple platinum, making it the album of Weezer’s best-selling. A deluxe edition of The Blue Album was also released on 23 March, 2004. This edition contains a remastered version of the original album and a second disc (called Dusty Gems and Raw Nuggets) of B-sides and rarities. [1] The Blue Album is the first of three album of Weezer and the second being released in 2001 ( “The Green Album”) and the last in 2008 ( “The Red Album”).
