Weezer (The Green Album) is the third album of Weezer, published May 15 2001. The album sees the return after 5 years of the band, after which the former Pinkerton 1996 was initially a failure, and received good critical reviews, and only later. This is also the first album the band with bassist Matt Sharp. The album will still be accepted in a positive, despite some criticism of the issues addressed and the limited length of the album itself. The individual that will bring success to The Green Album is Hash Pipe and Island in the Sun.

The album has sold to date in October 2005 about one and a half million copies, becoming platinum disc. It is positioned in the U.S. rankings to fourth place, becoming the first disc of the band to enter the Top Ten.

The album is dedicated to the memory of Mykel and Carli Allan, two sisters that run the fan club of the band. The two girls died in a car accident in 1997. I am also the person who inspired the b-side Mykel and Carli.
